Coming soon !!!!!!!!!!!!
( 25 March, 2000).
For those of you who haven't heard, we are moving to Dallas, Texas in late May or June! Leif was offered a job through his company, Ericsson, which he finally accepted. He will be managing a group of DT (Data transcript) engineers. This is a local position, not contracted- as we have been in Caracas. So this may mean we will be in the U.S. for a few years or more. I haven't been to Dallas yet (or even to Texas), so it will be a new experience. We'll be in the land of cowboys and loaded pistols in every home and car (I hope not!). Alexander is quite excited- since he knows he can get Pokemon stuff super cheap there!
Other news- Erik (Leif's 12-year old son) will be coming to visit on April 7th for a few weeks. The last time he was here- we were almost attacked by a gang of young teenage girls in a park here who mistook him for a member of the Backstreet boys- the blonde one. O.k., they knew it wasn't him, but they were infatuated (to say the least) with the tall blonde Swede. So we will see what happens this visit.
Alexander keeps me busy driving around to visit his friends. The big problem with this city is that I spend most of my time in the car (at least it seems that way). Two of his very good friends are leaving at Easter time. Another problem being here- always friends coming and going. He is VERY involved with the land of Pokemon. He has a Game Boy now with the Pokemon game and if he had his way, he would play it every waking hour of the day. But he also likes reading- every book he can get his hands on- and playing with Legos or running and jumping and releasing all of that energy!
Andreas is almost 9 and a half months now. He is almost walking! He has been "cruising"- walking around furniture for a few months now, and has taken a few steps between things without hanging on, so we are just waiting for the "BIG STEP". He is very curious- to say the least, and wants everything that belongs to others- Mama's books, Pappa's remote control, the computer mouse, and Alexander's Game Boy. He calls me "Ma Mom" now- which is music to my ears.
